Spent the day with a dear friend and mentor Mary Jane Puthoff. Mary opened with a Native American Prayer and she also brought attention to the #MMIW - The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
We marched, held signs, and supported each other yesterday. And something wonderful....last year when we matched it was like every other person said something Iike “beautiful costume” and then Mary would have to educate them “it’s not a costume, it’s Regalia”. This year not a single person said costume! We are taking that as a win and sign of a deepening understanding and respect.
